Narrative description of the supervised Project:

FirstData agreed to completely outsource bank’s ATM and Debit Card infrastructure and ensure it’s operations. The target customer – mid sized UK bank owned by large international banking group – aimed to improve customers’ experience and increase cardholder loyalty in the use of customer’s ATMs and Debit Card  services in line with current market expectations. The goal of the project was to deliver the solution for replacement of current customer’s ATM & Debit Card system and infrastructure with robust solution provided by FirstData based on bank’s needs and provide outsourcing services related to the complete operations of the entire ATM network for the bank. The project was organized into various multinational geographically separated work streams assuring particular project deliverables (application development, infrastructure, testing and certification, deployment, operations and ATM related processes and maintenance). Managed scope – more than 6000 man-days and 6 mil. EUR project budget involved.

Description of actual services provided within the assignment

  • Aspiro’s role within the program was to lead the major workstream for applications development, system integration and support for deployment of the system / solution. The workstream within the program was conducted by local solution centre of FirstData delivering and deploying customized version of cutting edge transaction’s processing software to the bank and assuring the system integration of all the software components.
  • Aspiro delivered its experience from leading large projects in complex multinational environments in order to guarantee the overall quality of system / solution delivery workstream provided by local solution centre of Transaction Provider.
  • Phase 1 – ATM Driving aimed at bank’s ATM infrastructure upgrade and ATM driving significantly improved customers’ experience using bank’s ATM network that led to increase in number of transactions processed. From bank’s perspective the entire ATM network, it’s management and ATM maintenance related procedures were outsourced to Transaction Provider.
