The EBRD provided a loan in the amount of up to €7 million alongside SIDA investment grant in the amount of €2.0 million for construction of a new energy efficiency biomass boiler plant, including biomass preparation, storage and feeding. The project also includes gradual modernisation of heat exchange substations and introduction of consumption based billing. The Project will be implemented by the Public Company Toplana AD Prijedor, a shareholding association majority owned by the City of Prijedor. The Project should contribute to environmental protection and improve the quality of services in the City of Prijedor. Following the preparation of a feasibility study for the project, Aspiro was selected to support choice among the offered project options and convert them into a design-build type of tender document, then assist the Company in procurement process under EBRD PP&R, including procurement of construction supervision consultants.
“Aspiro worked together with us on the revision of the feasibility study and preparation of tender documents for the project of district heating in Prijedor. We were pleasantly surprised with Aspiro’s readiness to efficiently respond to all the requirements of this extremely complex project. Their high level of knowledge of the EBRD procedures and willingness to identify the real needs of the project are unique features that representatives of Aspiro presented during their engagement in our project. On this occasion I wish to express our appreciation because we believe that it is also thanks to Aspiro that district heating project in Prijedor going to further toward realization.”
