Aspiro has developed a Big Data concept for Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s., aiming to identify and validate feasibility of turning data into insight that drives efficiency and / or new services.
ZSD is already collecting data from various digital sources. In connection to that, the company has started to evaluate the potential of the Big Data concept. The goal is to optimize and enhance current operations and services as well as implement new processes and methods that would allow to prepare for company for anticipated changes in the industry and ensure future effectiveness and operational stability.
Aspiro team delivered a Feasibility study, which included identification and evaluation of relevant use cases resolving current or potential business problems / opportunities by applying the Big Data concept (e.g. fraud management, capacity planning, etc). The team also provided expert architecture support advised on potential platforms which best fit the needs of ZSD and assessed changes to the IT architecture required to implement the Big Data concept.
